Warmseal is pleased to announce a new partnership with Northumberland Cricket Board to help increase the delivery of community crickets in schools and clubs across Northumberland.
The project will increase regular participation after school and within twilight sessions, leading to sustainable participation in local cricket clubs with junior sections. The funding that Warmseal is helping the Cricket Board with will help focus activity on an older age group of participants who have previously not been targeted. The basis will be on new players aged 14+ and a new shorter, fun format looking to attract new players to cricket.
Warmseal’s sales director Paul Jennison recently visited Broomley First School in Stocksfield to launch the new programme. He said, “We are delighted to contribute towards helping the grassroots development of cricket in the area and supporting Cricket in the Community. “As well as making the sport accessible to more children, this project will promote the message participation in sport is about fun and friendships and not just about the winning.”
