When you’re improving your home, there’s lots to think about. And at Warmseal, we know it’s nice to have a helping hand. So we’ve added this handy section that offers you guidance on getting it right and just generally makes life a little easier. And if you have any suggestions on things we could add, we’d love to hear from you.
Doing it for the kids
Warmseal feels very passionate about our corporate and social responsibility. That’s why we like to support local charities. We are pleased to support Cash for Kids, a charity that supports disadvantaged children in the area. In the past, we have raised £10,000! If you’d like to show your support for the many children in our communities who need a helping hand, we urge you to pledge some money to this worthwhile cause, no matter how small. FENSA
FENSA Limited is the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme and it has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), with Government approval in response to the new Building Regulations for England and Wales.
From 1st April 2002, all replacement glazing in dwellings came within the scope of the Building Regulations. Since then, anyone who installs replacement windows or doors will have to comply with approved thermal performance standards.
When having their windows and doors replaced from 1st April 2002, homeowners must ensure that they get a certificate from Local Authority Building Control or have the work completed by a FENSA registered company.
One of the main reasons for this change to the Building Regulations is the need to reduce energy loss. Find out more at http://www.fensa.co.uk/
