Glass Factory
Glass production shares the same facilities and know-how as our window and door manufacturing operations. We currently employ around 60 production staff working from 4 factory units on sites based at Throckley and Newburn. Products manufactured include PVCu and aluminium windows and doors, as well as specialist products such as Bi-Folding aluminium doors and other bespoke products. We also manufacture our own double-glazed units and have recently upgraded our production facility to meet the ever-changing energy saving requirements. To meet the increasing demand on the business, we have continually invested in state-of-the-art machinery, with recent additions including automated CNC and cutting machinery.
We currently operate a two-shift system which gives us the capacity to manufacture in excess of 1500 window and door products and 2500 double-glazed units per week. We also operate a recycling policy on-site, which involves the segregation of products such as metal, glass, plastic and cardboard.
